Welding Alloys’ solution 

• The casing and rotor of the fan can be protected from problems caused by failure of blades, impeller fatigue and other problems such as corrosion, erosion or issues with variable speed using WA’s wear plates.  These wear plates consist of a steel plate and hardfacing applied by arc welding, which exhibits a refined micro structure with a high volume of carbides.  
• Our solution is able to withstand an abrasive dust, corrosive gases and fumes which are removed from the sintering process using fans

Benefits
Extend service life and reduce maintenance costs for the customer due to the wear plate’s high resistance to abrasion and erosion.  Minimise the long production shutdown needed to exchange the fan housing.

Consistency and customer service
Our wear plate family – Hardplate, Hardlite and Tuffplate are manufactured using WA cored wires and welding equipment. They are distinguished by the homogeneity of the deposit, regular appearance and can easily be cut and moulded as necessary.
