• In petroleum refineries some equipment is subjected to extreme operating conditions, for example the petcoke drums which are cyclically under high stress and high temperature.  For the fabrication of the clad steel used for the internal lining of the petcoke drums, the best choice is a specific nickel based cored wire developed by Welding Alloys.

• Production of chemicals involves many different processes; pulverising is one of the many operations needed.  Rotating at high speed, this disintegrator needs to be protected against abrasion and corrosion.  Welding Alloys has developed a hardfacing cored wire with optimal characteristics for this application after conducting trials in various locations worldwide whereby individual components are blended and agglomerated together to form compounds e.g. fertiliser.
