For the production of components for aereoplanes, rockets and jet engines

  • Advanced components made from carbon fibre or aramide fibre composites and destined for civil and military applications are manufactured on templates and are later cured in autoclaves.  In order for the template to precisely maintain its original dimensions during the curing operation, it is made from a Fe-Ni alloy of very low linear expansion.  As these alloys are difficult to weld by conventional processes, Welding Alloys has designed and developed to NILDIL cored wires with superior weldability to join the most modern Fe-Ni alloys.

  • Sophisticated iron, nickel or titanium alloys are being used in jet engines, depending on the material properties required associated with the service environment.  Some heat resistant parts are "near net shape" forged with special techniques.  The tolls used to produce these parts are very costly to manufacture and to maintain, Welding Alloys manufactures products and offers services for the refurbishment of these high precision forging dies.

For the production of military vehicles

  • The welding of armoured military vehicles made of high strength low alloyed steels or armour steels requires high-precision procedures and very extensive testing before approvals are achieved.  Welding Alloys has developed considerable experience in welding products and procedures and application knowledge.  We provide a total welding solution, including welding automation, welding consumables and extensive training and testing, together with long-term technical support, to ensure all projects are successful over the project lifetime.

For the production of military ships and submarines

  • Welding Alloys R&D team have created a unique flux cored wire for new materials (metals), developed to provide specific characteristics in unique applications, in this case non-magnetic properties.  This new product offers superior chemical, physical and mechanical properties for the application specification and surpasses the use of manual electrodes due to its efficiency and ease of welding for significant productivity gains.
