WA and the steel vessel fabrication industry

For all vessel construction in stainless steels and nickel alloys:

The Welding Alloys' stainless steel cored wire brands: TETRA, TUBE and TRI S are appreciated worldwide for their outstanding quality and weldability.  Under these brands WA produces an industry leading range of alloys to cover the demands for welding almost all types of austenitic, duplex and ferritic stainless steels.

Austenitic and super austenitic

  • Super austenitic steels are a challenge for the welding engineer; the integrity of their metallurgical and physical properties must be maintained and their welding presents many challenges.  Welding Alloys has developed a range of cored wires for use in the production of non-magnetic components (oil drilling, defence applications) and hightly corrosion resistant installations.

Duplex and super duplex

  • Duplex and super duplex stainless steel welding cored wires are not only more efficient than manual electrodes or solid wires; they also produce welds of superior toughness and pitting corrosion resistance.  Constantly developing new products to meet the growing demands of high performance alloys, WA research and development is at the forefront of the welding industry.

Heat resistant austenitic

  • Heat resistant stainless steels are special alloys characterised by their very specific chemical composition and low tramp elements.  A full range is available; in addition WAG develops and produces cored wires to cover teh need of wrought, forged or cast heat resistant stainless steels.

Ferritic stainless steel

  • Ferritic stainless steel alloys are popular for applicatons with moderate corrosion. They have to weld efficiently and economically, according to the position of the weld TETRA S or TETRA V flux cored wires are meeting the most stringent requirements in industrial production environments.

Nickel Alloys

  • For joining nickel alloys, welding cored wires from Welding Alloys, an ever-expanding group, are the preferred solution: efficient and of the highest weldability.  The range, which already includes the most common alloys, is constantly evolving and growing.  Contact your local WAG company for information on the latest developments.
