During the first quarter of 2018, the Sales Academy continued to train Welding Alloys sales forces, focused around the ‘Sparky’ sales process. There were two sessions conducted, one in Poland and the other in Germany.

The Welding Alloys Group held their first ever "Health & Safety Awareness week” from the 14th to the 18th May. On the 10th, 11th and 12th of April, Welding Alloys France took part in the 8th edition of the Africa Sugar Outlook in Nairobi, Kenya. On March 6th and 8th 2018, Welding Alloys delivered a maintenance seminar in the CEMEX plant, to the new generation of engineers in charge of short and medium-term maintenance decisions in several plants across Mexico.
The test consists of looking at the performance and savings between refurbishment of a Vertical Mill with WA Hardfacing, using Mill 100/Mill 300 combination and using Ni-Hard High Chrome White Iron on three rolls, under the same working conditions.
