Welding Alloys Far East is currently recruiting a CNC Programmer who will report directly to the Far East Production Manager. The position is based at our facility in Johor Bahru.
Working as the CNC lathe operator / Programmer at Welding Alloys (Far East) Sdn Bhd, you will be
responsible for setting and operating the CNC machine with profile programming, developing and modifying the program, and other steps along a production line according day to day requirements. You will be working with a brand-new CNC Lathe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to write a CNC programme as per the job requirements (lathe only).
- Able to work with programmes being used by other subsidiaries.
- Setup and operate CNC Machine and occasionally NC Machine.
- Plan and organise assigned work.
- Detect & resolve issues during execution.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
- Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
- Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
- Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
- Able to work in shifts and therefore independently.
- Complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Contribute to waste management programs.
- Identify and report unsafe operations to Engineer immediately.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in programming & operating CNC (Lathe) machine.
- Diploma holder or Post Graduate skill certificate required.
- Can speak and write in Bahasa Malay (or English will be added advantage).
- Ability to do repetitive tasks.
- Details oriented.
- Understanding of industry and safety standards.
- Two years’ experience in handling CNC Machines.
