Professional Hardfacing Service (Malaysia) are currently recruiting an Assistant Engineer. The position will be based at our facility in Kulai, Johor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production operations.
- Support engineers in preparing machining process plans, tooling requirements, and job setup.
- Monitor machining work progress to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to machinists, welders, and trainees on jobs.
- Assist in troubleshooting machining problems, tooling issues, and machine performance.
- Review engineering drawings and work orders to clarify machining requirements.
- Perform inspections and verify parts against design tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain records of production, machine maintenance, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, housekeeping, and 5S practices in the production.
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of machining processes, conventional machine tools. (Lathe, Milling.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with cutting tools.
- Proficiency in Autocad software
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Good command in writing & speaking English and Malay.
- Computer Literacy – Familiar with Microsoft office.
