Professional Hardfacing Service (Malaysia) are currently recruiting two Machinists. The positions will be based at our facility in Kulai, Johor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor conventional machines such as Lathe Machines, Milling Machines and Boring Machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Select, align, and secure workpieces and cutting tools, ensuring proper positioning and clamping.
- Adjust machine settings such as feeds, speeds, depth of cut, and tool paths for precision machining.
- Perform accurate measurements of parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Inspect finished goods to ensure compliance with specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintain machines by carrying out routine checks, lubrication, and reporting faults or breakdowns.
- Follow workplace safety standards and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with supervisors, machinists, and engineers to complete jobs on time.
What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in operating lathe, milling and drilling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machining symbols.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parameters.
- Skilled in precision measurement and inspection techniques.
- Strong safety awareness in handling machines and heavy workpieces.
- Minimum 1 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
