Welding Alloys USA is currently recruiting a Senior Human Resources Generalist. The job holder will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and advice based on their human resources expertise. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will oversee recruitment and retention, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, terminations, environmental and safety. They are responsible for the development and administration of HR policies and procedures. Maintains and updates employee records, various reports, and provides employee coaching on work related matters. This position has a strong relationship with the Plant Manager and Plant Leadership team and must be able to understand business issues and bring solutions that advance the greater interests of the business.
Duties:
- Work with managers/supervisors to identify needs, priorities and assist to develop job descriptions.
- Lead the hiring process to identify candidates, perform first level interviews, coordinate follow-up interviews and all other aspects of the hiring process.
- Manage the new employee orientation and other programs to improve employee experience.
- Serve as contact with temporary labour agencies to schedule workers to meet daily production staffing requirements. Review and approve invoices, and address temporary worker issues as required.
- Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs and applicable laws.
- Serve as the liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of employee related issues.
- Provides effective guidance and coaching to Plant Leadership, relating to employee concerns, problems, and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
- Work with managers/supervisors to identify training needs, develop programs to address these training needs and maintain record of the training programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health programs.
- Understand, follow and help enforce all established safety, health and Company policies, procedures and recognised practices.
- Assist in the management and reporting of the environmental programs
- May be responsible for special projects related to other functional areas and other related duties as assigned.
- This is a 100% ONSITE position in Florence, KY

- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
- Strong team player with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire team members to work safely at all times.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions within area of authority.
- Positive mental attitude, demonstrating self-motivation drive and enthusiasm.
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- A minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience in manufacturing preferred.
