Here is a little news update about what is going on at Dalforsån in Sweden. We have been very busy so far this year; Dan and Henrik hosted the yearly key account meeting back in April, with colleagues from Europe and Asia. It was a productive and positive meeting where we had the opportunity to meet some of our colleagues from different Welding Alloys subsidiaries and give them a tour of our workshop. We hope to collaborate more in future with our colleagues around the world.
Our biggest investment in history, the Doosan 800 is now up running and we are very happy about it because we can now offer larger rolls. It is a very impressive piece of machinery! It takes rolls up to 600 millimetres in diameter, 5 metres in length and 7 tonnes in weight.
We have also appointed a new project manager, Inger Rautio. During the past year, we have received more complete roll lines, leading to more complex projects, which means we need to focus more on following our contractors.
We are confident that she will do an excellent job with this. We welcome her to the family.
Finally, we had Gordon Spence here for an audit of our factory and office. A knowledgeable man who came with a lot of good ideas for improving health and safety. The audit confirmed we have a good health and safety culture at Dalforsån. However, we can always be better in the future. Take care!
