Meet Sandy Choo, sales coordinator at WA Far East

A little info about Sandy Choo…

"I am Sandy Choo. Age is always a secret and a sensitive topic to don't ask. I am married and have two lovely kids; they are the apple of my eye. My husband is a typical Chinese man and also a loving and caring husband.
I am the eldest in the family. I have a sister who I am close with but she lives about 360km away from me. When I have the opportunity, I love to celebrate festive seasons in my hometown with my family, I enjoy every moment together with them.
I have been working for WAFE for almost 7 years as a Sales Coordinator. During my years of service, I have had some great times (lots of laughter with lovely colleagues and bosses) but also a couple of difficult moments (e.g. the first time I had contact with JDE). I love my job and the challenges it brings, and I enjoy working with a variety of people. I always make sure I have a positive attitude at work."

1. What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Definitely my alarm clock :)

2. How would you describe your day job to a child?
Just like all parents would... and then I would tell them that their main responsibly right now is to be a good student. They need to work hard and be smart to get it recognized.

3. What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
I enjoy starting every morning by drinking my coffee at my desk, reading emails and planning my tasks for the day before starting to work on these. As a sales coordinator, I need to handle all sorts of customers' inquiries / phone calls, shipment arrangements, coordinating with production, etc.

4. What three words would you use to describe your role?
Cherish – I care about and appreciate everyone I know
Cheerful – Everyone at WAFE knows this. We all have a laugh together in the Sales Office.
Innovative – Always prepared to continuously learn

5. If you could chose anyone in the world, who would you pick as your mentor?
Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, currently serving as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is an energetic man full of so much wisdom.

6. What do you like most about your job?
My colleagues, of course :)

7. What is your motto or personal mantra?
I like Nike, so…JUST DO IT.

8. Given the chance, who would you like to be for a day?
Superman. I want to fly up to the sky and feel the freedom like him.

9. What is your guilty pleasure?
Practicing new yoga poses with my instructor. No pain, no gain!
