The Group Innovation team at Welding Alloys is very proud to announce its successful application of an ambitious project called “Sustainable Remanufacturing solution with increased automation and recycled content in laser and plasma based processes (RESTORE)”, within the EU-Horizon Programme.
In its general goal, RESTORE is aiming to advance the state of the art in cladding technologies including laser direct energy deposition and plasma transfer arc process for sustainable remanufacturing applications. RESTORE will use and advance state of the art technologies, machine learning, world-class organisations, etc.
The project consists of twenty partners within the UK and Europe, and has a total value of 8.83 million euros. Group Innovation coordinated activities securing a grant worth 1 million euros for Welding Alloys Group (WAG).
Group Innovation will ensure that all outcomes are positively used within WAG to enhance our commercial activities and to secure our technical leadership in the future.
