  1. There are several formats that have been used
  • Current Welding Alloys standard item format

o   FFFSSnnnn (3 digits for the family of items, 2 letters for the sub family followed by 4 digits)

  • Old Welding Alloys UK standard item format

o   FFFnnn (3 digits for the family followed by 3 digits)

  • Old Welding Alloys UK mechanical part format

o   Lnnn (1 Letter for the family followed by minimum 3)

o   Lnnnn (1 Letter for the family followed by minimum 4)

o   Lnnn/N (1 Letter for the family followed by minimum 3 / 1 digit for version)

o   Lnnnn/N (1 Letter for the family followed by minimum 4 / 1 digit for version)

  • Old Welding Alloys UK electronic item format

o   HH-hh (2 alphanumeric characters for the family –  2 alphanumeric characters)

o   HH-hhnn (2 alphanumeric characters for the family –  2 alphanumeric characters – 2 digits for version)

  • Old Welding Alloys France mechanical part format

o   CMnnnnn (CM, 5 digits)

o   QCMnnnnn (QCM, 5 digits)

  • Old Welding Alloys France electrical part format

o   SAFFFnnn (SA, 3 digits for the family followed by 3 digits)

A. First contact should be made directly to your local Welding Alloys Company. Your local company can be found on the Welding Alloys web site welding-alloys.com

A. The Welding Alloys part number and the serial number of the machine is normally enough. Photos of the parts can make searching for old parts easier.

A. Welding Alloys holds many spare parts for old machines and has mechanical drawings going back to the 1970’s. If parts are no longer available, Welding Alloys can provide alternative parts or propose an upgrade to machines.
