Features:
- Crack-resistant stainless steel deposit
- Used for hardfacing rails exposed to impact and metal-to-metal wear
- Specially developed for tramway networks equipped with magnetic track brakes
- The chemical composition of HARDFACE 19 9 6-S (grade 307) has been modified to optimise the microstructure and promote higher ferrite content (magnetic) rather than austenite (non-magnetic)
- Restores up to 70% of the rail’s magnetic properties
- Repair of the rail head is compatible with rail in its original condition, rail with a wear or noise reducing overlay, or rail previously repaired using grade 307
- The degree of work hardening is dependent on the on level of impact
